French National Radio, France-Musique, have chosen Thomas Simaku’s new album in their list of best CDs (coup de coeur) of the 2020-21 season. A special programme is to be broadcast on Sunday, 4 July. Find out more and isten to the broadcast.
France Musique featured Simaku’s CD in their programme of 7 February 2021 and described his music as ‘astonishing’.
Released by the Swedish label BIS Records in November 2020, Simaku’s CD of chamber music ‘con-ri-sonanza’, featuring the Paris-based Quatuor Diotima and the British pianist now living in Berlin Joseph Houston, has received international critical acclaim with glowing reviews in France (Diapason), the UK (Gramophone and BBC Magazine) Germany (Neue Zeitschrift für Musik and Das Klassik & Jazz) and USA (Fanfare Magazine).
