Improving outcomes in breast cancer (update): cancer guidance
Background
This systematic review supported the update of NICE's breast cancer guidance. Further recommendations have been added and some of the original recommendations have been updated.Findings
The key recommendations of the guidance update are that women should be treated by a multidisciplinary team; they should be treated promptly; services should be more consistent; and intensive, hospital-based follow-up is not beneficial.
