YorRobots

Bringing together researchers and practitioners to create the safest next-generation autonomous robots.

YorRobots is an institution-wide initiative, associated with the Institute for Safe Autonomy (Design and Verification Pillar), bringing together researchers and practitioners with an interest in robotics and autonomous systems, and their applications.

Our goal is to maximise the impact of robotics expertise at York to the benefit of UK industry. YorRobots will promote and facilitate research in the development of advanced, ethical, safe, trusted, reliable, and certifiable mobile and autonomous robots.

This is a very exciting time to work in robotics. There are many challenges, but also strong prospects of significant impact to society and industry. York is contributing in a wide variety of areas, from the development of software and hardware to ethical and regulatory issues.

Professor Ana Cavalcanti, Chair of YorRobots executive committee.
