Event details

Discover the stories behind the canopy. Last year, we met the Oak. This March, the InTREEgue Network is bringing the rest of our "Core Five" species into the spotlight. This session is a celebration of the research and stories collected by our volunteers and a key step in defining the new, interactive Tree Trail for the University of York.

Why attend?

We are currently reimagining how we interact with our campus woodland. At this meeting, we will:

  • Explore Tree Profiles: View the newly collected content for the Yew, Hazel, Holly, Willow, and Rowan trees.
  • Define the Trail Experience: Help us finalise the "categories" (such as Relax, Learn, or Connect) that will group our trees and guide visitors through the trail.
  • Launch the Creative Call: Our final decisions today will form the brief for a campus-wide design competition this April, where students will create the official icons for our new physical signage.

Who is it for?

Whether you are a tree enthusiast, a student interested in design, or someone passionate about campus wellbeing, your input is welcome. Help us turn our trees into a "living archive" that everyone can enjoy.
