Santander Career Support Awards

We’ve partnered with Santander to offer 60 awards of £250 to help students take that next career step. The funding can support interview travel and clothing, placement or internship essentials and more. It’s here to help you say yes to opportunities that build your experience, confidence and future career. 

Eligibility

• You must be 18+ and a full or part-time student this academic year (2025/26). Includes undergraduate or postgraduate students.
• We are particularly encouraging international and postgraduate students to apply (as an alternative to the York Futures Scholarships offered to some home undergraduate students).
• Your application must be for an activity that’s happening this year (2025/26). This includes an activity that hasn’t yet taken place but starts before the end of the academic year, ie an activity starting up to 31 August 2026.
• You do not need to be a Santander customer.

How to apply

Register for free on Santander Open Academy (if you haven't already). Log in, click "Get Started" and complete the short entry form.

Apply for the award

The awards will be randomly allocated by 21 May. Successful applicants must accept their award by 28 May, or the award will be re-allocated to another applicant.
