Professor Peter Gorm Larsen
Peter Gorm Larsen is a professor in Software Engineering and Computer Systems at Aarhus University in Denmark. He leads the AU Centres for Digitalisation (DIGIT) and Digital Twins.
After earning an MSc in Electronic Engineering in 1988, he worked in industry and completed an industrial PhD in 1995.
His work applied formal methods with tool support across fields from secure messaging to options trading. Returning to academia in 2005, his research focuses on improving complex, mission-critical systems – especially cyber-physical systems, in particular with digital twins for these – through robust tools that support early-stage modelling to reduce development risk.
