Dame Amanda Blanc DBE is the Group CEO of Aviva, a major UK insurance, wealth, and retirement business, and significant York employer.
Born and raised in the Rhondda Valley, Wales, she began her career at one of Aviva's ancestor companies. Following success in senior roles at AXA and Zurich, she became Aviva CEO in 2020. She has overseen a significant strengthening of Aviva’s financial position.
Amanda was included in the Financial Times 25 most influential women of 2022and named as The Sunday Times business person of the year in 2023.
