Congratulations to Professor Ruth Penfold-Mounce from the Department of Sociology, and Professor Lorraine Farrelly, founding head of the York School of Architecture, who attended Royal Garden Party celebrations in May at Buckingham Palace to recognise their achievements in education.
Professor Lorraine Farrelly was nominated by the Royal Institute of British Architecture (RIBA), in recognition of her significant contribution and commitment to architecture education.
The nomination for Ruth Penfold-Mounce by the Department of Education followed her award from the National Teaching Fellowship in 2025 for outstanding contributions to teaching excellence in higher education.
