York Sport Village to be incorporated into the University

From 1 August 2023, York Sport Village will cease to be a subsidiary of the University, and instead all of its trade and activities will be incorporated within the University itself.

We hope that by incorporating the Sport Village into the University, we will realise the significant benefits of a more joined up approach to delivering our sports strategy announced earlier in the year.

York Sport Village staff will see no change to current contracts or working arrangements as they will continue to remain employed by York Commercial Limited as before. 

Users of the Sport Village should also see no change, as products and services will not be impacted by this move.
