Scott Award art competition

Posted on 3 April 2020

The Scott Award Committee has opened up its art competition to staff as well as students.

And this year the exhibition will be entirely virtual.

The Scott Award Committee usually organises an annual art competition and exhibition which welcomes a wide variety of artworks. These are showcased in the Norman Rea Gallery, with the aim of encouraging and rewarding students’ creative and artistic work.

This year, the committee intends to pursue its mission by incentivising everyone to create art in a moment where this can contribute to their wellbeing.

Any medium is accepted, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, poetry, prose, short film, performance, music or dance. The theme is ‘Inspired by Others’.

You can submit pictures, videos or recordings of artworks until Friday 17 April.

All entries will be displayed digitally, in a fully virtual exhibition that will be publicly available from Monday 25 May. The artworks will be judged by a panel of local artists and professionals basing on adherence to theme and efficacy of expression.
