NHS Pension Scheme
You will normally receive information that indicates your eligibility to apply for membership of NHS Pensions in the terms and conditions attached to your appointment letter.
You may be able to apply for membership of NHS Pensions if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You are employed at the Hull York Medical School (HYMS)
- You are employed as a Clinical Academic
- You have previously held NHS Pension Scheme membership and that membership ended within 12 months of the start of your employment at the University
- You apply for membership of NHS Pensions within three months of joining the University
Your application is subject to acceptance by NHS Pensions. If you think that you may be eligible for membership of NHS Pensions whilst employed at the University, or are already a member of NHS Pensions through a University employment and have any questions about your membership, contact the Pensions Team on pensions@york.ac.uk.
