Types of flexible working

'Flexible working' describes arrangements where the number of hours worked, or the time when work is done, varies from standard practice.

Flexible working can benefit both you and the University by:

  • helping you achieve a better balance between home and work
  • helping you stay at work when circumstances might have stopped you from doing so
  • structuring working patterns and staffing levels around peaks and troughs of demand.
