A range of general and targeted student recruitment campaigns are run throughout the year by Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Outreach. To discuss student recruitment marketing, contact your relevant Marketing Manager.

The external promotion of research findings and impact is supported by the Media and Research Communications team, focusing on collaborating with academics to promote research to key stakeholders and support our mission as a University for Public Good.

Engaging with the media
If you need to have a press release signed off, would like to talk to someone about a news story, need advice about liaising with the media and journalists, or require support with interview preparation, crisis communications, or promoting your work to the media, contact the Press Office.

Events and public engagement
Support for your events
If you're planning an event, the Events team can offer advice on all stages of event planning: conception, planning and delivery. Support is available for public-facing and corporate events as well as advice on managing your own departmental events.
Promotional support is also available for high-profile events, conferences and visitors.
Core university events
York Festival of Ideas and the YorkIdeas open lecture series are two of the University's key public engagement channels.
The Events team also maintain and develop regional, national and international partnerships with a range of organisations and influencers.
