Promoting research and major stories

The external promotion of research findings and impact is supported by the Media and Research Communications team, focusing on collaborating with academics to promote research to key stakeholders and support our mission as a University for Public Good.

Throughout your research project

It's important to consider your communication goals and what you're trying to achieve at an early stage in your project.

If you have a significant project or initiative starting up, would like to discuss research communications activities or which channels are right for you, contact the Research Communications team.

Engaging with the media

If you need to have a press release signed off, would like to talk to someone about a news story, need advice about liaising with the media and journalists, or require support with interview preparation, crisis communications, or promoting your work to the media, contact the Press Office.

Support is available for urgent media enquiries out of hours.
