Russell Group Teachers' Conference
Thank you for taking part in the The Russell Group Teachers’ Conference on 4 May 2020. We hope you found it useful to learn more about Russell Group Universities and how to support your students' progression to higher education.
Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation, this year’s conference took place virtually. We’d like to thank everyone who took part in this incredibly popular event which brought together teachers, career advisors and heads of sixth form across the country.
What is the Russell Group Teachers’ Conference?
The aim of the Russell Group Teachers’ Conference is to enable teachers to support their students to progress to some of the UK’s most competitive institutions. In the online format Russell Group representatives delivered insightful webinars on applications, admissions and the student experience, including:
- Supporting applicants during the COVID-19 pandemic
- An overview of contextual offers
- Student wellbeing support during transition and beyond
- Supporting students with their UCAS application and interview
- Understanding admissions at university
- General alternative routes in Higher Education
- Student finance and budgeting
Visitors to the event also had the opportunity to talk to representatives from all Russell Group Universities in the exhibition and ask any questions using online chat.
If you couldn’t make the event, or would like to revisit any of the sessions, all videos and presentations are now available to watch on demand.
These resources are open to everyone, even if you did not register to attend the event originally, so please do feel free to share them with colleagues.
