ETL Event Tackles Equitable Medical Device Innovation
ETL event discusses recommendations from the Equity in Medical Devices: Independent Review and how they can be operationalised across the Yorkshire & Humber region
Supported by Health Innovation Yorkshire and Humber and the York Biomedical Research Institute, the event brought together experts from academia, industry, healthcare, regulation, and implementation, to foster cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary discussions to understand the barriers and opportunities facing the innovation of equitable medical devices.
The event featured keynotes from Prof. Dame Margaret Whitehead, Richard Stubbs and the ETL followed by a round table aimed at understanding the opportunities and barriers facing the development and deployment of equitable medical devices and actionable strategies which can be adopted to help ensure technological solutions that respond to societal challenges and drive equitable access and outcomes.
