Upcoming events

Digital Cultural Heritage online workshop: On 17 April 2026 the DCN will support a digital cultural heritage online workshop co-hosted by the University of York’s Humanities Research Centre and Virginia Tech’s Centre for Humanities. The workshop will bring together 20 researchers from the two universities to present their projects that involve the creative use of technologies to explore culture, the arts and history. There will then be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and explore potential to collaborate with the speakers. All are welcome to attend this online event.
CHI PLAY 2026: The Annual Symposium on Computer-Human Interaction in Play (CHI PLAY) will take place in York from 2 to 5 November 2026. CHI PLAY is the international and interdisciplinary conference for researchers and professionals across all areas of play, games and human-computer interaction (HCI).

Spanning disciplines and sectors, our researchers use digital creativity to innovate, solve problems and create new experiences. Our work encompasses both the application of digital creativities and the investigation of their impact and potential.
