Hannah Brian from the University of York Vice Chancellor’s Office presents the second of this term’s Politics Careers Options series. Hannah received her BA in Politics from the University of Durham and her MA in British Politics from the University of Leeds before pursuing a career in Parliament. Hannah had brief spells working for a peer and for the Clerks in the House of Lords before working as a Research Assistant in the House of Commons for two years. On leaving Westminster she joined the regional development agency Yorkshire Forward as a political researcher and worked her way up to being Head of Policy. Hannah will discuss her experiences and provide reflections and advice on making the transition from studying Politics to working in Parliament as well as other levels of government.
