With around 25 conflict and security researchers, the York Centre for Conflict and Security (YCCS)  produces innovative interdisciplinary research that examines the causes and consequences of conflict around the world.

Our researchers have conducted fieldwork in conflict zones around the world, have influenced policy debates about around pressing global challenges such as nuclear proliferation, peace processes and post-conflict reconstruction.

Working collaboratively with partner organisations from Government, International Organisations and the third sector, YCCS  brings together outstanding researchers to produce policy-relevant research about conflict and security.
