Eligibility

Open to International (including EU) and UK (home) students.

You must be intending to study one of the following postgraduate taught masters courses with the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology:

You must also:

  • have a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of York
  • not already be receiving an 100% tuition fee scholarship or be fully sponsored.
How to apply

Application deadline: Wednesday 30 April 2025, 11.59pm BST

To apply for this scholarship, you must submit a personal statement between 200 and 400 words. Please include your name, the masters course you are interested in and your student applicant number.

Please then detail how you think you are a suitable candidate for this scholarship. You can include why you have applied to undertake your chosen course at this university, including information on:

  • your academic background.
  • how you feel the features and content of your chosen course will benefit you.
  • why you chose the University of York and the appeal of the city of York as a UK location.

Successful applicants will be notified by 30th June.

How we allocate

Scholarship awardees will be selected by a panel of senior staff from the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology. In particular the panel will consider prior academic achievement and the overall quality of the written application.
