Event details
Join the University of York for a day exploring audio and music technology. Discover cutting-edge audio innovation and meet the people behind the research. Hear about their career paths and explore the options open to you.
Take part in four workshops:
- Acoustics: Find out about how sound behaves and how we experience it in different spaces. Discover this for yourself in our interactive campus sound tour.
- Electronic Music: Learn about the history of electronic music and get hands-on experience creating your own synthesisers.
- Sound for Video Games: Explore the use of immersive audio in video games by experimenting with an interactive game that simulates realistic acoustics.
- Maths, Music and Coding: Learn about the relationship between maths and music using a programming language to create your own electronic sounds.
