We have been able to provide relevant IT training that has struck a chord with UK and international trainers. We have established the University's reputation as a provider of world-class IT training."

A feature of the summit will be a 'CSI-IT' evening that will focus on the detection of and protection from cyber-crime.

The IT Academy was instrumental in securing further events including, SQLBits, the largest database conference in Europe from 30 September to 2 October.

The Academy also hosted the UK stage of Microsoft's Get on the Bus Tour last year at the National Science Learning Centre which promoted IT skills for the 150 local businesses.
