Event details

Sponsored by the Politics Society and the United Nations Association York

Our panel share their takes about the recent tensions on the Korean Peninsula in this event co-hosted by our friends in United Nations Association York (@unayork). In June a number of anti-government leaflets were distributed in Pyongyang which led to hotlines being dismantled and buildings destroyed.  Our panel aims to provide an understanding of North-South relations and the position of the North internationally as well as the politics within the regime in this educational event.

Please note this event may be recorded.

Our panel includes:

  • Dr. Virgine Grzelczyk (Aston University)
  • Dr. Sarah Son (University of Sheffield)
  • Dr. Edward Goldring (The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology)
  • Professor Graeme Davies (University of York)
