Nearly half a year has passed since the Taliban conquered Kabul - and slowly the media focus has wandered on. Afghanistan, however, has been plunged into an even deeper crisis. The rushed evacuation of Western troops and the subsequent takeover by the Taliban has seen a deterioration concerning the rights of women and other groups, such as those who had cooperated with the Western armies. To shed light on the situation of these people the West left behind, York Politics Society have invited their very own Dr Sara de Jong.
