Allam Lecture 2020

This talk is postponed. Ticketholders have been notified.

We are delighted to invite you to this year's annual Endowed Allam Lecture at the Allam Medical Building, University of Hull.

The prestigious Allam Lecture series has welcomed keynote speeches from some of the country's leading experts in biomedical research in recent years, and we are very pleased to be joined in 2020 by Professor Sadaf Farooqi, Professor of Metabolism and Medicine, University of Cambridge. Professor Farooqi is an internationally recognised Clinician Scientist, who has made seminal contributions to understanding the genetic and physiological mechanisms that underlie obesity and its complications.

In addition to this year's keynote lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to discover more about some of the exciting and cutting-edge research work currently being undertaken at Hull York Medical School in Hull, and to submit questions to a panel of experts, including Professor Farooqi.

The event, which is kindly sponsored by Dr Assem Allam, is free to attend and open to friends, colleagues and NHS partners from across the region, as well members of the public.
