With live explosions and more, join us for a family-friendly look at space exploration in this demonstration lecture.

4pm to 6.30pm: Explore our Universe

Join us for a hands-on, fun-filled exhibition exploring our Solar System and beyond!

  • Discover the wonders of space in the Cosmodome, an inflatable planetarium
  • Glimpse new worlds and other planets with virtual reality
  • Have fun with robots and try driving a mini space rover
  • Tour the University observatory, the Astrocampus
  • Ask your questions in a live podcast recording with SYZYGY
  • Get hands-on with a genuine meteorite
  • Find out about the constellations and use your creative side to invent your own
  • And lots more!

This is a drop-in event and tickets are not required. The exhibition will take place in the Exhibition Centre, Campus West. Please use the postcode YO10 5NA with sat navs and see the interactive map. Pay and display parking is available on campus.

6.30pm to 7.30pm: Exoplanets and Alien Atmospheres

Explore new worlds and discover exoplanets - planets orbiting stars other than our own Sun - in this fascinating talk.
