Join Elevate Great and the University of York for Who’s in charge? an afternoon of ideas, discussion and debate led by Professor Ingrid Robeyns, a leading philosopher exploring inequality, wealth and social justice.
Professor Robeyns will look at what it means to be an active citizen, and how our choices, voices and collective action can help create positive change. Her keynote will be followed by a cross-sector panel discussion and audience Q&A, bringing different perspectives into the conversation.

About the speaker
Professor Ingrid Robeyns is a distinguished philosopher and economist and Chair in Ethics of Institutions at Utrecht University. Her work spans political philosophy, social justice, inequality and the ethics of economic institutions. She is internationally recognised for developing limitarianism, which questions whether extreme wealth can be ethically justified. A leading public intellectual she contributes widely to debates on justice democracy and economic inequality.
