Event details

Step back in time to the Stone Age and join us for an unforgettable family event. Renowned public historian Greg Jenner will be joining us to discuss his recently published children's book, Totally Chaotic History: The Stone Age Runs Wild, sharing his expertise and infectious enthusiasm. Greg will be taking us on a whistlestop tour from our earliest Palaeolithic ancestors right through to people farming in the Neolithic. And together, Greg and Professor Nicky Milner will also uncover the secrets of the world-famous Stone Age Star Carr site—which is right on our doorstep. They will be discussing some of the incredible artefacts found there, including the oldest house in Britain, unique pendants, and remarkable red deer headdresses.

This is a unique opportunity for all ages to ignite their curiosity about the past with captivating talks, a chance to meet the experts, as well as pre-event book signing with Greg and a chance to handle some replica Star Carr objects.

This event is most suitable for children aged 8-12, but all are welcome.

Please note: Greg will be signing copies of his book before the talk.  Details of this will be sent to ticketholders before the event.
