AI awareness – 'meet the experts' lecture

Join the University of York's School for Business and Society, industry experts, and fellow businesses for this exciting talk which will examine ChatGPT and generative AI from the perspective of media. Using examples, the talk will explore how generative AI is different from earlier ‘narrow’ AI, how this difference makes it easier to use, and how different AI models can be used together to automate media production. Both the long-term implications of AI in media and practical guidance for using AI for communication will be discussed.

  • 1pm - 2pm: Talk by David Caswell
  • 2pm - 3pm: Networking event in the Business Lounge (Church Lane Building)
