Visit Days 2020

General information

A Visit Day is a chance for you to find out more about the Department, as well as see the beautiful York city centre and get a feel for our close knit campus structure.

These events are specifically aimed at those who have received an offer of a place to study with us via UCAS. You will meet with our Admissions Tutors as well as senior lecturing staff and find out all the answers you need to know about what it is like studying at York.

Visit Days give you the opportunity to meet the academics that make up our Department and learn for yourself why we are rated 2nd in the UK for research in linguistics.

Visit Days in 2020 will be held on:

  • Saturday 18 January 2020
  • Saturday 8 February 2020
  • Wednesday 26 February 2020
  • Saturday 21 March 2020

You can sign up to a Visit Day on the You@York portal

If you are unable to attend a Visit Day you can contact us at linguistics-ug-admissions@york.ac.uk to arrange an independent visit to the department and book a place on a campus tour to find out more about our University.
