The IT Support team are available by email and phone Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

Drop in and see us: We will be offering drop-in IT support Monday to Friday. On most days this will be available 9am - 4pm.
However before you set off, please check our Twitter account (@UoYITServices) as any changes to these hours will be publicised there (eg in the event of staff illness).
- You will find us on the ground floor of the JB Morrell Library.
- The drop-in service operates on a first come, first served basis. You may have to queue to speak to us.
- Please try to have some photo ID with you (eg University ID card, passport, driving licence) in case we need to confirm your identity.
- For longer queries we might decide that we need to schedule an appointment with you.

Yes! You can install Microsoft Office 365 free of charge. The subscription remains valid as long as you are a student at the University of York.
Yes, as a student you can download some software at a discounted rate or for free.
When buying computer equipment for personal use you may also be eligible for discounts on cheaper IT equipment from our suppliers.
Yes, we have laptops available for short term use on campus or longer loans for up to a week.
The Skills Guides provide online tutorials and guidance on using a range of applications. You can also book a training session to develop your IT skills.
