IT Services over the Christmas period

IT Services will be closed from Christmas Eve and will reopen on Tuesday 3 January 2023.

IT Services is closed.
- Any emails sent to itsupport@york.ac.uk will be responded to when we reopen in the new year.
- Guidance is available on the IT Services website and the Support Portal.
- The York Print Plus printers in the Library will be topped up before we close.
- We will be monitoring services remotely and will deal with any IT emergencies (widespread issues affecting significant numbers of people). In the event of an emergency, we will provide information via our Twitter account. You can also check our service status page.
- All other IT facilities should be available outside normal hours as usual, but access to the IT classrooms will be subject to college opening hours.
- If you think your university account or device has been compromised or other activity of security concern is taking place, email cert@york.ac.uk. This email address must only be used for cyber security emergencies.

There’s a few things we’d recommend you do before you start your break, in case you need to use your IT account for anything. We've made a list - check it twice!
