IT Services over Christmas

IT support won't be available between 23 December and 3 January, but other IT facilities will be available throughout.

The Library & IT Help Desk will be closed from 4pm Friday 23 December until 9am Tuesday 3 January. For more details of Library opening hours over Christmas, see:

During this period IT Services staff will not be on duty to attend to faults, but will be available in case of an IT emergency. If you believe you have an IT emergency to report (eg major network failure, or system failure affecting a large number of people), please contact the Library or, if Library staff aren't available, contact Security Services.

In the event of an emergency, we will endeavour to provide information via our Twitter and Facebook feeds:

Printing and copying

Staff will visit campus between 29 December and 3 January to check paper and toner levels, and fix any major problems identified. Paper and toner levels in Library printers will also be monitored by the Customer Services team in the Library.

Accessing IT facilities on campus

All other services should be available as usual outside normal hours, but access to the IT rooms will be subject to college opening hours.

Eduroam at other universities - connect to WiFi at universities worldwide
Virtual Desktop Service - simple access to the Windows desktop & applications
Virtual Private Network - secure access to University resources
Google Mail - check your emails quickly and easily wherever you are
Google Drive - store your files safely; unlike a USB stick, it can't get lost or corrupted
