Event details

With the aim of fundraising for Menfulness, the Mental Health Awareness Society has organised a panel to discuss the important topic of men’s mental health. The panelists will be addressing several key issues through a moderated discussion. These questions will include:

  • ‘How can we fight the stigma around Men’s Mental Health?’
  • ‘How can we create a welcoming environment for men to reach out about their mental health?’
  • ‘How can we - as friends, family, partners - support someone that is struggling with their mental health?’

The confirmed panelists are:

Prof Paul Galdas - Professor of Nursing and Men's Health, University of York

Grant Denkinson - Open Door Practitioner, University of York

Kelly Walker - University of York Alumni and Mental Health Nurse.

Alan Chambers - Qualified Counsellor and Co-Founder of Legions Gym York.
