New Research Fellow joining History

We are pleased to announce that Dr Boyd Brogan will be joining the Department in September on a two-year fellowship funded by the Centre for Future Health.

Dr Boyd is currently based in the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at Wolfson College, Cambridge. While at York, he will be researching the use of early modern witchcraft texts in the development of nineteenth-century theories of epilepsy and hysteria.
