Sanjoy Bhattacharya (Director of the Centre for Global Health Histories) featured in Devex article

Prof. Sanjoy Bhattacharya (Professor of the History of Medicine and Director of the Centre for Global Health Histories) has been featured in an article written by journalist Catherine Cheney for Devex, the global development media platform titled ‘What lessons does polio eradication offer for global health?’.

In the article Prof. Bhattacharya’s efforts to ensure that the documentation of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, or GPEI, is multilingual, are highlighted, as is his recent funding application to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which focuses on the necessity to build an international coalition that will advocate across multiple languages for future vaccination-based disease elimination and eradication programs.

The full article can be accessed on Devex’s website.

You can find more information about Prof. Bhattacharya’s ongoing research and other external activities on his staff profile, and further information about the centre’s continuing research projects on the Centre for Global Health Histories' website.
