Entrepreneur Belle is the founder of SealStop, a simple but effective mechanical device that automatically stops the flow of water when a container is full. It attaches easily to a standard garden hose and works without batteries, timers, or apps. The moment the water reaches the top, SealStop shuts it off, preventing overflows, saving time, and conserving water.
It is designed for everyday outdoor use and is ideal for households, gardeners, smallholders, equestrian yards, farms, construction sites, and agricultural settings. Whether filling buckets, troughs, tanks, or water butts, SealStop allows you to walk away knowing the water will stop exactly when it should.
By tackling a common and frustrating problem, SealStop brings convenience and sustainability together in one simple innovation.

Belle’s Journey

For 11 years, Belle worked as a radiographer in the NHS, spending most of that time at Malton Community Hospital. Outside of work, life revolved around a smallholding, surrounded by animals needing constant care. One of her daily tasks was filling buckets and troughs with water, a job that sounded simple enough, but more often than not, distractions meant returning to find water overflowing everywhere.
Her husband Jason, a farrier, encountered the same issue repeatedly in his work: buckets and troughs left running, wasting water and time. The couple began to wonder why there wasn’t a simple solution to stop this happening. When they couldn’t find one, they decided to create it themselves.
That decision marked the start of a five-year journey of designing, testing, and refining prototypes in between work and family life. By December 2023, Belle made the leap to leave her radiography career and dedicate herself fully to the business. Along the way, she trained in accountancy, gained her Class 1 HGV licence, and completed a digital marketing course with Leeds College—skills she knew would help bring their product to market.
In March 2024, SealStop officially launched. From day one, it has been a family affair, with their children helping to assemble and package each unit. They made a deliberate choice to keep production local, supporting businesses and people within their own community. Sales have grown steadily, and they are now fulfilling larger orders and supplying bigger retailers.
