Introducing the University of York Enterprise Awards: honouring the region's top-tier talent
There’s never been a more exciting time to invest in York.
In the last 2 years, the city was ranked as the 6th best place in the UK for start-ups, and 2nd on the survival rate of these companies. and was named the second-best city for independents; fighting off the impacts of COVID and cementing its role as a hub for British enterprise.
At Enterprise Works, we champion the City, and our region, as vibrant, ambitious locations, alive with ideas, skill and creativity, and a great place for anyone, from any community, to start, grow and scale their business.
The University of York Enterprise Awards will recognise the best of enterprise in York and the region. Any company from York and North Yorkshire or that's part of The University community can apply.
From leading university research to pioneering creative start-ups, North Yorkshire`s enterprise scene is growing by the day. The Enterprise Awards, held at The Merchant Adventurers' Hall, York from 6.30pm on 4 July, will shine a spotlight on this local talent.

Those shortlisted for the award, will be invited to attend the dinner.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 2nd June.
Applications are welcome from businesses in York and North Yorkshire or with a YO postcode.
