Arrival information for residents

We’re looking forward to having you stay with us at Wentworth.

Here’s some things you should know before arriving.

When to arrive

Wentworth residents can arrive from 9am on Monday 8 September 2025. It is not possible to arrive before this date.

Accommodation Services will email your University of York email account with further information about your specific accommodation booking and a link to the induction module.

Please note that Wentworth residents do not have to book an arrival slot.

Where to find us

Our postcode is YO10 5DD.

If travelling by car

Park in designated car parks until you have collected your key card. If you need to move your car closer to the college, do so after collecting your room key. Once unloaded, please return your car to the car park.

If using public transport

The University Road bus stop is the nearest to Wentworth and is about eight minutes walk from the college. Find further information on our travel web pages.

Collecting your keys

You can collect your keycard from the Wentworth College Team in B/R/016 between 9am and 5pm on Monday 8 September 2025.

At other times your keycard is available from the 24 hour reception desk in the Information Centre.

Remember to bring a form of ID with you. Luggage trolleys are available upon request.

Your room number

Accommodation services will email you your room code before your arrival, which includes your room number and block/flat.

The email will be sent to your University account, so be sure to look out for it. If you have any accommodation queries, get in touch with the Accommodation team.
