Research Bites Large

What is ResearchBites?

ResearchBites is a high profile public engagement event designed to showcase the exciting research projects happening right here in York, and show the future generation of young researchers that research can also have exciting delivery.

Engaging the public with research can enrich the student experience, improve the quality of research and its impact. Public Engagement raises the students profile, develops their skills and encourages them to approach their research from different perspectives. It enables members of the public to act as informed citizens and can inspire the next generation of researchers.

Who can participate?

We are currently accepting applications from Postgraduate students from all disciplines and ask supervisors and faculty to encourage those who they feel may benefit from such an experience.

Where do I apply?

The application form can be found here:

The application deadline is Friday 11 May.

Applicants will be selected on the delivery of their project; the media, demonstrations, and other props you will use to attract the attention of passing visitors.

*Training for Public Engagement events will be offered to all exhibitors on Thursday 17 May in Wentworth College.
