We are delighted to be working with the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) to expand its Children Challenging Industry (CCI) programme to include more primary schools across Teesside and the Humber.
As part of the partnership, STEM professionals from Aureos IDEC, ITS and NRL recently took part in a training workshop, helping them develop the skills and confidence to engage effectively with primary-aged children.
Thanks to ECITB funding, an additional six schools in Teesside and six in the Humber will take part in the CCI programme this year. Children will meet people working in local industry, take part in practical science challenges and discover how classroom science connects to real careers.
Together, CIEC and the ECITB are helping to strengthen industry-school links, raise aspirations and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
