Older adults' social care research
We are a multidisciplinary team of applied social care researchers and research delivery specialists with a specific focus on social care for older adults.
Our research covers a broad range of themes including dementia, funding social care, adaptations and the social care workforce.
Research in OSCAR is conducted in collaboration with people who deliver and receive social care. It is focused on achieving practical knowledge, outcomes and resources to improve social care.
Two national social care infrastructure entities are led from within the OSCAR theme:
• School for Social Care Research
• NIHR Research Support Service (RSS) Specialist Centre for Social Care.
