Intact-UK is an association of Indonesian staff of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) with a shared interest in taxes, public finance, fiscal policy and governance. Dr Arifin Rosid delivered the keynote speech, 'Enhancing Tax Administration for Optimal Fiscal Policy in Indonesia'. On campus attendees were joined by colleagues from across the UK and Indonesia.

Intact-UK aims to be a discussion platform in the field of taxation and related non-taxation that is independent, inclusive, global and multi-disciplinary, spanning policy and academia. It aims to support improving tax literacy for Indonesian citizens, and catalyse debate amongst civil servants.

Professor Neil Lunt, Associate Dean for Internationalisation in the School for Business and Society, said:

'Intact-UK is an opportunity for Indonesian tax officials based in the UK and overseas to hear from experts working in fiscal policy and tax administration. Master of Public Administration (MPA) CASPPER students were involved in establishing the association and continue to contribute to its continued activities.'

The event was coordinated by Denty Tresna Mutiara, a public servant in the Directorate General of Taxes and current MPA CASPPER student in the School for Business and Society.
