In an ambitious rite of passage, 60(ish) first-year BA Music Production & Sound Recording and BA Music students from the University of York join forces during their very first week on campus to stage a musical event from scratch.
The Drift and The Anchor explores the tension between movement and stability, blending original, devised work with reimagined established repertoire. By bridging the worlds of acoustic performance, live sound manipulation, and creative production, the students will showcase the collective energy, bold experimentation, and collaborative spirit that define the next cohort of music-makers in the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.
