Join the University of York East Asian Ensemble for an unforgettable evening celebrating music across cultures. Echoes Across Cultures: Across Oceans, Through Strings brings together traditional East Asian instruments with Western classical and contemporary music, creating a unique dialogue between musical traditions. Featuring erhu, guzheng, pipa, dizi, cello, violin, piano, percussion and more, the programme includes beloved works such as Butterfly Lovers, Arirang, Hotel California, Libertango, and the Super Mario Bros. Theme. The evening will conclude with a spectacular Chinese-inspired encore, bringing the concert to an energetic and memorable close.
Presented by the University of York East Asian Ensemble, this concert celebrates diversity, friendship, and cultural exchange through music.
