Staff and students are invited to discover local heritage and unique buildings across the city during York Unlocked 2026, taking place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October.
York Unlocked is an annual weekend festival offering free public access to historic sites and modern spaces across York that are not normally open to visitors. The charity behind the initiative is supported by Professor Lorraine Farrelly, Head of the York School of Architecture, who serves as a trustee for the organization.
As part of this year’s festival, Heslington Hall will open its doors on Saturday 3rd of October.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our students and staff to engage with the city's rich built environment," says Professor Farrelly. "There are many exceptional spaces opening across the weekend, and I encourage everyone to participate."
