York's award winning Conservation Alumna recognised for work at Becket's Chapel, Wymondham, Norfolk.
York Conservation Alumna wins major Civic Trust Award for work on Becket's Chapel.

Patricia Forero, alumna of the MA in Building Conservation at the University of York (Class of 2001) has worked in England for nearly 25 years, focusing primarily on the conservation of historic buildings. Four years ago, they founded their own practice, The Architect Studio, based in Cambridgeshire.
Patricia's work on the repair and refurbishment of Becket’s Chapel in Wymondham, Norfolk, has been recognised at the Civic Trust Awards 2025 in the AABC Building Conservation category. The Civic Trust Awards are among the most respected in the UK and Europe, celebrating architecture that demonstrates design excellence and delivers meaningful social, cultural and environmental impact. Their project was one of only four conservation schemes to receive this award, alongside prestigious national landmarks such as the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) and Westminster Hall. It’s incredibly rewarding to see a modest, community-driven project recognised at this level, and it's especially gratifying knowing that it began with the foundation Patricia received at York.
