We have a new vacancy for an Associate Lecturer in Digital Archaeology to start in the new year
We are looking for an Associate Lecturer in Digital Archaeology to contribute to our thriving community of digital practitioners at York, which includes the Archaeology Data Service, Internet Archaeology, the Centre for Digital Heritage, and the Digital Archaeology and Heritage (DAH) Lab. You will be expected to deliver a high quality teaching and learning experience to students and to take leadership in maintaining York’s globally recognised excellence in digital archaeology.
You should have demonstrable experience in a range of digital techniques such as 3D modelling, digital imaging such as photogrammetry, data management in archaeology, computational archaeology, virtual reality implementation, machine learning, and spatial technologies. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues in Archaeology and interdisciplinarily across the university in digital projects and initiatives is a must.
Applicants may have primary background in either humanistic or computational work, but should demonstrate a keen interest and aptitude for working at their intersection.
The role is full time. However, we are happy to consider applications for flexible working arrangements or job shares.
