Ellie Lees and Phoebe Ronn win Department of Archaeology employability prize 2019

The Employability Prize recognises a Y3 student's commitment to working with the University of York careers programme to enhance their own career prospects. This year it has been awarded to two students, Ellie Lees and Phoebe Ronn. Ellie has worked with the central UoY careers service to secure an internship at the North Yorkshire Moors National Park Association Land of Iron Project. Susequently she has spoken at careers events to encourage other students to engage with the advice and support offered. Phoebe has worked with us in the department to improve our advice on careers in commercial archaeology, acting as an informal point of contact for fellow students who want up to date information on the sector. Well done to both of the winners and good luck with your future careers!
