During the 2019 Centre for Digital Heritage conference, the Department of Archaeology at the University of York launched the Digital Archaeology and Heritage Lab at the King's Manor. The space will be used for teaching, research, open labs, and creative workshops that support digital research within the department.

The lab was launched by Head of Department Professor Nicky Milner who discussed the importance of digital methods in archaeology and heritage at York and in the broader context of archaeological research.
