Getting access

Undergraduate applications

If you've received an offer from the University of York, we'll give you access to You@York. Before you can access You@York, you will need to register your IT Account via our identity manager page

You can find your username and password in your offer email.

Postgraduate applications

Once you've submitted your application you'll be able to access to You@York within two working days. 

How we use You@York

We use You@York to keep you up to date with your application. Our correspondence with you is stored there. We'll also send information to you about actions you may need to take on your application.

Resetting your password

Your username and password are a vital piece of your University identity. You need to keep them safe. Never share your password.

If anyone else knows your password (for example, an agent managing your University application), you should change it now to keep your account secure.

Trouble logging in?

Before you can access You@York, you need to register your IT Account via our identity manager page.

You can find your username and password in your offer email.

In the middle of a postgraduate application form? Contact sits-support@york.ac.uk.

If you cannot find your username please contact the IT Support Office. They will verify your identity and will send you your username.

Please note your username will be sent to the email address provided in your application.

If you have registered your account you can reset your password yourself. Please visit our identity manager page, enter your University of York username and click on 'Forgot password?'. 

You can then reset your password by answering the security questions that you set up when you registered your account.

If you are unable to answer your security questions please contact the IT Support Office.
